Detached Two-Story ADU Project – Irving Blvd, Los Angeles 90004

This project represents a modern, space-efficient solution in the heart of Los Angeles. Designed and approved in 2024, this two-story detached ADU replaced an aging garage and introduced a fully code-compliant structure into a multifamily zoned lot near Hancock Park.

Planning Notes

This project highlights Golden ADU’s ability to transform a compact urban lot into a highly efficient two-unit ADU solution. By utilizing a clean flat-roof modern design, we maximized the allowable floor area and height within R3 zoning requirements.

The design includes detailed elevation views, grading quantities, and complete structural documentation to comply with the 2019 California Building Code, Green Code, and local municipal guidelines. A smooth permit process was executed with final approval in October 2024.
